"Calling All Pastor's Wives! - If your husband is a senior pastor or a solo pastor or a youth pastor or a children's pastor or a pastor of visitation or a worship pastor or any other category, active or retired, YOU ARE INVITED TO THE ANNUAL PASTOR'S WIVES LUNCHEON DURING FAMILY CAMP. Here's the scoop. It's on Thursday, July 15, meeting at 12:30 p.m. at the SBC Cedar Center (A-Frame). We'll be car-pooling to nearby Flavor Fruit Farm on South Jackson Road. This is camp--come in casual summer wear. What's for lunch? 2 scrumptious sandwich options: Chicken salad on a tender croissant fresh from their bakery with chips, drink and home-made cookie OR Sliced honey ham on a tender croissant fresh from their bakery with chips, drink and home-made cookie. A reservation is needed. Cost is $7.95 and you'll pay Flavor Fruit at the luncheon. We'll return around 2 p.m. CAN I ATTEND THE LUNCHEON EVEN IF WE AREN'T STAYING ON THE CAMPGROUND? Global Leadership Summit - August 5-6, Willow Creek Community Church in Illinois and at satellite simulcasts throughout our region (Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Holland, Detroit East, Detroit West, and Toledo). We will not be having the Pastors' Overnighter at SBC in September (just for this year) in order to encourage all our pastors to use the time instead to attend either the Leadership Summit or another such event of your choosing, taking as many lay people with you as possible.

2010-2011 "Salt and Light" Pastors Resourcing Days - Will be held at SBC October 12, November 9, January 11, March 8, and May 10. We are also opening these days this year to lay leaders who are able to attend. The Pastors' Power Teams and a Power Team for lay attenders will all study our theme subject, "Leading with Love."

Date Change for 2011 Family Camp - To accommodate the dates of General Conference next summer, the decision has been made to adjust Family Camp back by half-a-week, Wednesday to Wednesday, July 6-13.
